A Vision for
a Stronger,

Smarter Region.

Donald Kelshall founded Savannah Computing Limited with a simple belief - the Caribbean organizations deserve world-class technology solutions, backed by local expertise, dependable support, and a long-term commitment to their success.

A DISTINGUISHED CAREER

From aviation to advancing the Caribbean through technology.

A TRANSFORMATIVE PROJECT

Uniting people, systems and possibilities

This complex 16-month transformation involved consolidating three independent IT operations into a single technology environment, bringing together three IT departments under one operation, and implementing the Profile Banking Application and a new ATM network spanning more than 25 locations. The project established the technological foundation for what has become one of the Caribbean’s leading financial institutions.

After a distinguished career of over 20 years with BWIA, where he served as Head of the IT Department, Donald Kelshall left the airline to pursue his entrepreneurial vision and, together with David Downie, founded Savannah Computing. The company was established with a vision of delivering innovative consulting and software solutions to the Caribbean financial services industry and has since grown into a trusted regional technology partner serving banks and financial institutions across the Caribbean.

DECADES OF EXPERIENCE

Building foundations for the future.

With decades of experience in banking technology, information systems and project management, he has led some of the region’s most significant financial systems implementations. His early consulting engagements included the implementation of a new banking system for a Trinidad-based financial institution. He subsequently served as Project Manager for the creation of First Citizens Bank in Trinidad and Tobago following the merger of three insolvent financial institutions.

GROWING A REGIONAL PRESENCE

Guiding Savannah's continued success.

Since assuming the role of Managing Director in 1992, he has guided Savannah Computing’s strategic growth and operations, expanding its client base across the Caribbean through banking, accounting and financial technology solutions. Under his guidance, Savannah Computing has also developed business relationships with major stakeholders in Barbados, Guyana and Jamaica, further strengthening the company’s regional presence and its role as a technology partner to leading organizations across the Caribbean. He has provided executive oversight of major client implementations while leading the company’s strategic planning, business, and professional development, with a continued focus on technical expertise, customer support and long-term client relationships.

BEYOND BUSINESS

A commitment to global connections.

In addition to his business leadership, he served as the Honorary Consul for New Zealand in Trinidad and Tobago from 2015 to 2023, reflecting his commitment to fostering international relationships and contributing to the country’s diplomatic and business communities.
