July 2010 - Misys recently visited Trinidad to introduce their new Banking Solution BankFusion. The visit was held over a two-day period and introductory meetings were held with the major financial institutions in Port of Spain.

Richard O’Keefe, Senior Director Americas, Fergal Leonard, Account Manager and David Hardy, Sales Manager Banking representing Misys were present at these visits.

Their visit included an overview on the growth and development of Misys and their product offerings in the financial services sector. The discussions also focused on the local institutions key financial issues and operational requirements. An introduction to the BankFusion Universal Banking system core features was provided.

The Misys BankFusion Universal Banking solution is a customer-centric universal banking system providing full universal banking functionality for both front and back office deployment. It covers a wide range of retail banking instruments such as lending, deposits, and payments in addition to supporting business and enterprise banking requirements including treasury and trade services. BankFusion includes an integrated General Ledger application that can be used for bank-wide financial management or alternatively, can act as a product ledger and integrate with an existing enterprise GL solution.

The solution incorporates an innovative process capability to allow more flexible management of user interactions and the automation of greater levels of straight-through processing. The design supports 24x7 banking operations, removing any of the traditional systems constraints around user ‘down-time’ during end of day processing. 

BankFusion recent Implementation:

Misys is pleased to announce that the Bank of Ceylon (UK) Ltd has chosen Misys BankFusion Universal Banking to replace its Bankmaster system. BankFusion Universal Banking provides Bank of Ceylon a migration path from Bankmaster which minimises the risk of the change to the bank.

Caixa Banco De Investimento has also selected Misys BankFusion Midas as its core banking system. Caixa Banco de Investimento (Caixa BI) is the investment banking arm of Group Caixa Geral de Depósitos, SA (“Group CGD”), the biggest Portuguese banking group.
